Apple announced a lot today at their 2016 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), mainly focusing on new features in their operating systems, but one feature overshadowed them all: deleting built-in apps.

Apple makes a lot of good apps for their platform.  Many people enjoy their software, but not every app suits every user.  For nine years of iOS we’ve all wanted to get rid of something they’ve forced on us.  For most it was the Stocks app, because many of us don’t bother with Wall Street.  Even if you do, though, the app doesn’t do much more than a widget and actually became a Notification Center widget in recent updates.

Whether you hate the Stocks app or not, you probably have a few apps you’d like to clear off of your home screen rather than relegate to a “Crap” folder.  This Fall, when you update to iOS 10, you can!  Apple put together a comprehensive list of the apps you can delete.  I’ve recreated it below:

  • Calendar
  • Compass
  • Contacts
  • FaceTime
  • Find My Friends
  • Home (the newly announced HomeKit app that you don’t currently have a reason to love or hate yet)
  • iBooks
  • iTunes Store
  • Mail
  • Maps
  • Music
  • News
  • Notes
  • Podcasts
  • Reminders
  • Stocks
  • Tips
  • Videos
  • Voice Memos
  • Apple Watch
  • Weather

Clearly they’re fine with you getting rid of most anything.  It’s a great victory for iOS users, but one that came far too late.
